In the second stage of grief, people tend to

a) reach the accommodation stage where they pick up the pieces of their lives and construct new identities.
b) avoid the reality of the situation through denial.
c) fully experience grief and acknowledge the reality that the separation from the dead person is permanent.
d) avoid the situation by carrying on with usual routines of life.
